When your furry friend is experiencing trauma or illness, emotions and stress can run high very quickly. It is important to stay calm. Most concerns can be addressed quickly by your regular veterinarian.
Issues of great concern should be addressed immediately with your treating veterinarian. Make sure to alert her of any changes in diet, temperment or level of activity. It is important to list anything that seems out of the ordinary for your pet.
If your pet has ingested any foreign substances, take the container or a sample with you in case testing needs to be done. You may also want to call a poison control center for information about the toxic level of any ingested items. Two helpful services, which do charge consultation fees are:
The ASPCA Hotline at 1-888-426-4435 and the Pet Poison Hotline at 1-800-213-6680.
We are happy to make the call for you as a part of the treatment process and can include any fees as a part of your treatment.
If your emergency occurs after hours, we work with your regular veterinarian as an extension of their practice and will treat your pet with the same level of professional and compassionate care as they would. Simply bring your pet to one of our convenient locations and we will take care of any emergency needs, care for your pet during the time your vet is closed, and share all records with your veterinarian for follow-up care.
As we are an emergency clinic only, we are unable to extend payment plans to you as your regular veterinarian might, but we do have credit arrangements through Care Credit and Wells Fargo. We do accept cash, personal check, Mastercard, Visa, and American Express. We do require payment at the time services are rendered.
Please check with the front desk regarding credit arrangements through Care Credit and Wells Fargo.
